Heart Care Software CardioPulse Expands Internationally with ACC and STS

CardioPulse™, developed by Intelligent Business Solutions, leads initiative to improve heart care globally; opens gateway for international participation to the American College of Cardiology (ACC NCDR) and Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS).

CardioPulse has expanded its certified Cardiothoracic Surgery and Cardiology software, previously available only for providers in the U.S., to the international community. This important evolution will allow heart care facilities around the world to benchmark their data, thus improving heart care at a global level. By offering a simple access tool to harvest core data sets, CardioPulse is expected to become a major global resource for heart center quality reporting measures in the international community.

"CardioPulse has always been a respected leader in the heart care community in the United States. This respect was based on our ability to provide innovative software solutions to our clients to improve research, better health ideologies, and ultimately better heart care for patients. It is with this same dedication that we hope to earn the respect of the International community," said Janet Shill, VP of International Marketing and Sales for CardioPulse.

International cardiology software

CardioPulse is one of only five vendors in the United States that maintains all six software certifications for heart care quality and outcomes databases across the American College of Cardiology (ACC NCDR) and the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS). CardioPulse is the first US vendor to provide service to the international community.

CardioPulse™ Certifications Include:

  • ACC NCDR (CathPCI Registry, ACTION Registry-GWTGTM and ICD Registry)
  • STS (Adult Cardiac, General Thoracic Surgery and Congenital Heart)

The ACC and STS registries previously have provided benchmarking and quality measures for U.S. participants only, but in 2011, both associations have taken an active role towards improving heart care at a global level. With this shared goal in mind, CardioPulse created an internet gateway for the international community to participate in data harvest and quality reporting for their heart care centers.

CardioPulse™ launched its international service June 21, 2011 in Brazil with rollout service to begin in Asia and the Middle East in 2012.
